Information We Collect

When you participate in a gift registry as a guest, you may voluntarily provide your name and email address during onboarding. This information is used solely to identify your gift claims within the registry. We also assign an anonymous session ID to your browser session to keep your claims associated across visits.

Hosts provide an email address and password when creating an account. No payment information is collected or stored by Wishlistry.

How We Use Your Information

Guest name and email are displayed to the event host so they can see who has claimed or reserved gifts on their registry. This information is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage

Registry data — including events, gifts, and claims — is stored securely using Supabase, a managed cloud database platform. Your guest session (name, email, and session ID) is also saved in your browser's localStorage under the key wishlistry_guest_session. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

Affiliate Links & Cookies

Some gift registry items include "Where to Buy" links to third-party retailers. Wishlistry participates in the Amazon Associates Program — when you click a link to Amazon, an affiliate tag is appended to the URL and Amazon may set a tracking cookie in your browser (valid for 24 hours). As an Amazon Associate, Wishlistry earns a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links at no extra cost to you.

Amazon's data practices are governed by Amazon's Privacy Notice. Wishlistry does not receive or store any data from Amazon about your purchases.

Data Retention

Guest claim data is retained for the duration of the event as determined by the host. Hosts may delete their event and all associated data at any time. Guest sessions stored in localStorage persist in your browser until you clear them.
